Shawn's Gym Class
My cute little dog!
Here she is! Sailor! (Eh, is the dog in the background.) Isn't she is sooooo cute! And very friendly. I am hoping to find her a new home because she keeps on getting attacked by the larger dogs in Lac Brochet. If I had my own house, I would definitely keep her myself! She would be the perfect dog for someone living in the north...hint, hint, hint. :)
Back in Lac!
Hello from Lac Brochet!
I am having a blast up here. I have occupied my time going skiiing and going for long walks in the evening with my walking buddy - Ruby the grade 1 teacher! Of course I am most excited because I get to hang out with my cutie-pa-tootie, Shawn.
Last night, we thought we would take advantage of the balmy temperatures (-5 C) and have a bonfire. Of course, stupid white people tried to use "green" trees. Needless to say, several ski-doos came by to ensure the house wasn't burning down! Melissa Tss. and Adriana Dett. had to show Ryan and Shawn how to start a proper fire. "Watch and learn" they kept on saying! We ended up using all the recyclable materials in the house to keep the fire going. Then Kenneth G. and Mason Dan. came by on their cute-little ski-doo. Jenn told them to find some dry "woods" for us to use instead. Fifteen minutes later they came back with two logs that they stole from someone's house, nice!

Shawn at the Grey Cup!!!!
Well I went to the 94th Grey Cup in Winnipeg. Almost got snowed in up in Lac Brochet but I made it down. I also went to the CFL Player Awards, which were awesome. I got to meet many CFL players, most importantly Milt Stegall. It was a little cold but my training from up north pulled my through. As for the game it was ok but the crowd was awesome. The BC Lions won it all. I got to see Nelly Furtado, the Canadian Idol chick and the famous Snowbirds who flew over after the anthem.
The Great RED Caribou Hunter
Well this is me (Shawn) on my first caribou hunt. I did not shoot this animal but I did track it in the bush after it was shot and dragged it out onto the ice. Charlie (the maintenance man for the school) took his wife, another teacher, the teacher's fiancee and me out hunting. He cut this caribou up in about 15 minutes. We kept everything but the stomach and intestines. It was neat to snowmobile out on the lakes (except when you hit slush) and to see all the caribou. It was a good day and, amazingly, Candace was glad I had the opportunity to go.
